  9. LISE is a relatively complete collection of routins to
  10. display, modify, and fit one dimensional spectra
  11. (like Auger-spectra, Moessbauer-spectra, Energy-spectra,...)
  12. There is virtually no limit on the size of the spectra.
  13. LISE is intended to work on commandline oriented
  14. multitasking machines, such as UNIX Workstations
  15. and the AMIGA series of computers.
  16. There is also a Graphical User Interface available for
  17. LISE applications. This GUI is based on my 
  18. Menu Description Language Interpreter MDL.
  19. Spectra are handled as simple files on the Disk.
  20. LISE understands binary and ASCII formats.
  21. You can use a spectra calculator with real formulars.
  22. Output of pictures is possible on Plotters, Epson Printers,
  23. HP Deskjet printers, as Postscript and as IFF.
  24. For Amiga Computers there is also a general MCA program
  25. with on line data display for data aquisitation. This
  26. MCA program has an ARexx Interface and can call macros for
  27. on line analysis of your spectra.
  28. The LISE routines should be used together with a powerfull
  29. command line interpreter such as the korn-shell (or SKShell
  30. on Amiga computers) or the bash. These shells are not part
  31. of the LISE Distribution. For first experiments on Amiga
  32. computers CShell 5.17 will do.
